We had extensive work done on our 1 acre Lafayette property by Rare Earth Landscape. The terrain was steep and undeveloped. Rick Gallo and his team improved the property beautifully and carefully over the course of 2-3 years, including design suggestions and the installation of arbors, fountains, walkways with lights, a deck and patios, deer fencing and retaining walls. They planted a wide variety of plants including native, drought-tolerant plants, redwoods, fruit trees, and an extensive collection of ornamental flowers as well as the sprinkler systems for the project. The garden has matured beautifully over the past 18-24 months and has hosted numerous events including a wedding. I would recommend Rare Earth Landscape and would hire the team again if I were to require similar property improvements.

Rick and the team at Rare Earth did a fantastic job on our landscape project. Not only were they extremely consultative throughout the design process, but they also offered several great suggestions to fully utilize our space in the most efficient manner. We had several features being added to our yard including installation of Bocce, basketball court, patio design and stone work, all new planting and yard lighting etc...They walked us through every step of the process, coordinated every aspect with other vendors and suppliers and made it all happen on time for a party we were throwing. I can't say enough good things about our experience with Rick and his team and have them at the top of my list for any additional landscape work we look to do. They show up on time, Rick explains every detail of what will be done and when and his crew is clean and courteous.

We hired Rare Earth Landscape Inc to transform our front yard. The yard had not been cared for, for the 18 months prior to us moving in. There was no lighting, the irrigation system wasn't working, the grass wasn't really grass anymore, didn't know if the living plants were weeds or plants. We worked with Rick Gallo. Rick took his time, listened to what we were looking for and helped guide us through the process. Rick pointed out what plantings should remain and which ones should be removed. He coached us on the benefits of California native plants and the drought resistant plants.

Rick's prices were competitive and his design and ideas were great. Rick was on the job most of the time, making sure everything was done to our satisfaction and his own high standards. The Rare Earth Landscape team was a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend.
